30. Dezember 2011 – Update Apocalypse Now!

Liebe Gemeinde!

Willkommen zum 2. Teil des Dezember-Updates! Kurz vorm Ende des Jahres erfreuen bzw. belästigen (je nach Sichtweise, ha!) wir Euch noch mal mit einer kleinen Aktualisierung der CFMD-Homepage. Allzu ausufernd ist sie zwar nicht ausgefallen, aber immerhin haben wir Wort gehalten!

Vor den Latz geknallt gibt’s heute Rayk’s Inti mit dem Death Metal Kommando CHAOSREIGN aus dem CFMD # 16 und somit dürften nun sämtliche Frage/Antwort-Spielchen aus der letzten Printausgabe online sein. Whatever, bei CHAOSREIGN handelt es sich jedenfalls um eine noch relativ junge Band, deren Stil von Rayk als eine Mischung aus wütendem Death Metal und einer Prise Grindcore der Marke GENERAL SURGERY beschrieben wird. Experten/innen wissen Bescheid! Unser Nürtinger Verbündeter vergleicht die Livequalitäten dieser Horde dazu noch mit der Angriffslust eines Pittbulls und gibt außerdem zu Protokoll, dass CHAOSREIGN auch aus der Tonkonserve heraus töten. Da kann eigentlich nix schief gehen und gute Unterhaltung ist vorprogrammiert. Viel Spazz!

Last but not least wurde auch wieder an ein paar neuen Onlinereviews gewerkelt, wobei die folgenden Sachen dran glauben mussten:

11. Dezember 2011 – Update Apocalypse Now!

Liebe Gemeinde!

Bei der letzten Aktualisierung unserer Homepage drohten wir an, dass wir es in diesem Jahr updatetechnisch noch zweimal krachen lassen werden und wir stehen zu unserer Drohung! Deshalb gibt’s heute das Dezember-Update 1.0, ha!

Zunächst einmal lassen wir wieder den Grindhammer kreisen und setzen Euch Rayk’s ATTACK OF RAGE-Inti aus dem CFMD # 16 vor! ATTACK OF RAGE kommen aus der Slowakei und fabrizieren energiegeladenen, schnörkellosen und metallischen Grindcore, der zudem noch ziemlich abwechslungsreich daherkommt. Rayk vergleicht sie mit FLESH PARADE und alten CIRCLE OF DEAD CHILDREN, gewürzt mit brutalem Death und eigenwilligem Gesang. Also könnt ihr Euch evtl. vorstellen, was bei ihnen abgeht! Zum Zeitpunkt des Interviews, welches mit Fellvergerber Hoyas geführt wurde, stand die Veröffentlichung des Nachfolgers ihres „Grindpeace“-Albums kurz vor der Vollendung. Inzwischen ist der „Sväté Zlo“ („Saint Evil“) betitelte Brecher nun auch schon wieder seit einer ganzen Weile draußen und ATTACK OF RAGE machen darauf konsequent da weiter, wo sie mit „Grindpeace“ aufhörten. Nun liegt es an euch, die Kapelle anzutesten. In diesem Sinne: G-R-I-N-D!!!

Natürlich soll auch heute mit neuen Online-Reviews nicht gegeizt werden. Vorgenommen haben wir uns folgende Releases (wobei noch längst nicht alles besprochen wurde, was hier in letzter Zeit so reingerauscht ist...sorry, das wird schon noch!):

Nun gut, soviel zum Dezember-Update 1.0. Wenn alles klappt (was wir doch mal schwer hoffen wollen!), dann gibt‘s Ende des Monats noch mal einen gepflegten Nachschlag!!!

Und übrigens: Unsere aktuelle Printausgabe ist (nachdem in den letzten Wochen sogar noch die eiserne Reserve dran glauben musste!) komplett vergriffen! Auch alle älteren CFMD-Ausgaben sind endgültig weg. Also fragt uns erst gar nicht erst mehr danach, wobei in diversen Distrolisten anderer Anbieter (ha!) diverse Printausgaben unseres Wurstblattes für musikalische Zerstörung (und mehr) durchaus noch zu finden sind. Anfang 2012 sollen die Arbeiten am CFMD # 17 beginnen... Na wartens wir‘s ab!

- DETEST RECORDS: Belgian band Emptiness is joining Detest roster!
I'm very proud to announce that for the very first time a Belgian band is joining Detest Records roster! This band is called EMPTINESS and has just recorded its 3rd album called "Error". - MASTIC SCUM: Working on new 5th album!
We are currently working on our new 5th album!! We are fucking excited about the new record which follows our last album DUST, our strongest release up to date! The new release will be for sure a progression from the songwriting and sound production points of view! Lot of the songwriting is already done, but we still have work to do! The new material so far is fucking brutal, combining shredding rhythms, mosh grooves and grindcore blast attacks! We sure give 100% in the song-writing-process and we cannot wait to enjoy with everyone the new overdose of brutal distorted structures! Be prepared! As our goal is to enter the studio in the near future, we are very focused on our work and will play just a few live-shows this fall/winter.Nevertheless, we really look forward to grind with you at our upcoming shows! - MARUTA: Schicht im Schacht!
Die Tech-Grinder MARUTA haben sich nach ihrer Europa-Tour aufgelöst: Gründungsmitglied Mitchell Luna gab dazu via Lambgoat folgendes Statement ab: “We have officially called it quits. We beat the horse to death, brought it back to life, dragged it around, and beat it to death again enough times already to call it a day. The road took its toll, and core member/guitar player Eduardo Borja decided to leave the band right after we got back from Europe last month. He left to focus on personal matters and his family, and we all wish him the best of luck. Myself being the only original member of the band since 2009, it was decided that carrying on with yet another line-up chance wouldn’t make any sense. We will be playing one last show in Miami December 4th, and then we put this beast to sleep for good. I would just like to take a quick moment to thank every single person that ever supported us in any way shape or form. I and the rest of the band have met some really incredible people throughout this 6 year mis-adventure, and have gotten the opportunity to visit plenty of places we would have otherwise not been able to see. Finanskrisen - Alt Går Til Grunne 7": From the southwestern side of Norway, who was plagued by the metal straight edge trend for some time bred something else in the wake of ninjamoshing. Finanskrisen hails to older and more dirty styles of hardcore punk and sounds. Side A is 3 tracks of tempo and anger while the B-side of the record is mostly built up in soundscapes through 2 tracks. Dogsholylife - This is a Test 7": The first US band to be released on this label. And I have to say that Im pleased with the result. Dogsholylife delivers 9 tracks of hardcore punk in a good tradition. Sharing members with Against//Empire is a hint, but not a guarantee for the sound.

- RSR: New stuff out now!
RSR 113: Cyborg/The Afternoon Gentleman - 7": This is the first split release as follow the nice demotape by Cyborg from Chicago. These guys also play in WEEKEND NACHOS, but here they stick to the Powerviolence sound like the earlier W.N. releases, hardcore punk smashers between crude 90s fastcore and maniac grindcore. INFEST, SPAZZ and CROSSED OUT. THE AFTERNOON GENTLEMEN can be called the UK's brutal answer to, and they're no doubt as tight as, CYBORG. Their "Pissed Again" 7" had awesome reviews comparing them to a whole slew of grind/pv bands (DESPISE YOU, HELLNATION, INSECT WARFARE, SPAZZ), all adequate comparisons but they are still their own band. A must!
RSR 116: Hatewaves - The tomb - 5": HATEWAVES return with a new six song 5"ep of blast beat ridden hardcore with obnoxiously heavy mosh parts in the vein of Haymaker/Iron Lung, played by members of Pulling Teeth and Triac as a fitting tribute to the life of TheXBeast.
