[ FESTIVAL VORBERICHTE ]

KILL-TOWN DEATH FEST is a new Danish D.I.Y. death metal festival! It will be the first of its kind, at least as far as we know... The dates will be 16th-18th of september 2010 and will take place at the alternative venue, OVERDREVET/DÖDSMASKINEN in Copenhagens NorthWest quarter.

The fest is a celebration of the current underground death metal scene and the active bands and people involved. Our goal is to create a festival that puts focus on the music and the bands, not money and prestige. The festival is based on D.I.Y. ethics, meaning that the festival is non-commercial so neither, we the organizers, nor the bands playing the fest, is making money. Thats also why we dont wanna do headliners and all the bands will get the same treatment.

The festival will be a 3-day event with 21 international acts, metal DJ..s, good cheap quality beer, horror-movie screenings, foodstalls, metal scrap art installations, distro-area and outdoor hang-out space.Our primary focus will be on the scandinavian underground death metal scenes, but we will also try to bring in a few treats from other parts of Europe aswell as the rest of the world.

As part of the entry price, the first 500 paying guests, will recieve a KILL-TOWN DEATH FEST 2010 Comptape with a song from all the bands playing the fest.
Presale has started, so get your ticket now at www.killtowndeathfest.dk. In the presale you will be able to buy 3-day tickets and ensure your participation in one of this years greatest celebrations of underground deathmetal. During the fest it will be posible to buy one-day tickets.

Ticket prices will be as follows: 3-day ticket 40 euro/42 euro presale (300 dk). If you buy in the entrance at the day; thursday costs 14 euro (100 dk) and friday/saturday costs 20 euro (150 dk).

We are working on preparing another warm up party for the fest. It will be held saturday 21st of August at Loppen in Christiania. The lineup looks as follows:
